Boston City Hall: A Green Alternative to Plans for a New Complex

City Hall 2 The Green City Team: Henry MacLean, Franziska Amacher, Gerry Ives, Mark Kelley

This is an alternative to plans to move City Hall from the City Center that was originally proposed by Mayor Menino in 1996, and put on hold by the Mayor in late December 2008. The Green City Team has been working with Boston City Councilor Michael Flaherty's office this past year exploring the potential benefits of greening the existing Boston City Hall instead of moving it,transforming it to a model of green and ecological architecture for the rest of the city and region.

Massachusetts Action Climate Network

Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN) logo The Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN) is a statewide organization that coordinates the work of locally organized groups across Massachusetts fighting the climate crisis. It is a large and vigorous community of 46 chapters, in a fifth of MA communities, with hundreds of members, and others who communicate, network, and share information related to climate action.
